All these numbers with this prefix are usually cold calls. Could hear lots of noise as if in a centre was not anyone I know, they hung up.
Called and hung up when answered
Scan call saying that they were from my bank and that over £300 had been taken out of my account to pay Amazon. I immediately, put the phone down and checked my balance. This was alot of rubbish. Advice ignore or report but do not respond or do anything else.

Scammer. Caller claimed they were from Microsoft and that they needed to fix computer as it was sending critical error messages. Not even logged into any machine, so a load of nonsense. Told them they were talking nonsense and only trying to spam/scam people. Needless to say they quickly hung up. Caller possibly overseas and routing to a UK number.

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. So Octopus Brokers pretending to be an Energy Company, are selling private details to third parties who want to put lethal equipment in people's homes so they can cut people off when they feel like it. I will report them to the ICO. Section 4(2) of the Fraud Act 2006 covers fraud by abuse of position which the billing company deliberately omit. The are committing fraud as they have no valid contract with anyone. Smart Meters cause health issues and should be banned asap.I blocked the scammer. No consent.

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated

SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
