Automated message purporting to be from Amazon Prime stating that £39.99 was about to be taken out of my account. Instructed to press 1 to speak to a representative. Clearly, that would instigate and expensive return call… Plus they woke my 86 year old Mother who is very ill from her afternoon sleep.

Then, when I had refused to give straight answers to personal questions, turned abusive having realised I had her number (sorry for the bad joke!). Received a call from this number with an electronic voice recording claiming that our BT line was to be disconnected. We are NOT with BT! . This is a scam and a fraud. It was also at 8:30 in the morning when not everyone would be up. I do note that googling this number does seem to produce a former genuine use for it, but i double-checked the number. This was a scammer., There is no question about it.
