It was a recorded message saying "this is your bank. three withdrawals have been made on your card this morning...." and went on to list various sums. No name of bank, no name of card or card holder. The number used is not listed by my bank. Very suspicious.

This was a scammer who pretended to be from BT talking about illegal access to your broadband.!! That's rich!! Hacked my bank account and Amazon a/c. Call from 02034589975 the call is originating in an Indian call centre and the caller asks for name, DOB and address before telling me they've located my Vodafone account (which doesn't exist and my details were entirely fictional). The call is a scam designed to illicit bank details for a new phone contract. I would urge everyone to block this number and not give them any info at all.
