I was trying to activate a phone on my company network and after working with Verizon and the phone started initializing it came up with this phone number which is 1/2 way around the world for Bribane. Verizon still working on figuring it out. Not sure how this phone number was hijacked to a phone number so far away from my location and mysteriously changed numbers. The phone number on the account has been on my account for 25 years now.

Fraud. Got a text supposedly from GOV.UK with an https// click-in, advising me that they have identified me as being eligible for a discounted energy bill under the energy bill support scheme. Mmmm how did they know my number? why didn't I get an official letter/mmmm. No surprise really it's a fraud scam, the government doesn't text you to tell you they are giving you money,and as far as I know will never do this anyway. Why aren't they traced and shut down?

SCAM Recorded message said two withdrawals had been mad from my account.They advised to press button one to get further information. If this was my bank they would identify themselves as such, and offer data to prove this. This is likely a scam, and best thing to do is hang up. A genuine caller would then call you back, and actually speak with you. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON YOUR PHONE JUST HANG UP

Hard to understand person, strong foreign accent, claiming to represent O2, yet calling from a number on the Three Network. Fraud Call centre, pretend to be "running security" for Virgin Broadband, call to say they have "seen problems on the line". When I told them I wasn't on Virgin, they waffle on about how they do the security for all broadband suppliers, because Virgin supplies the lines for them all.
