SCAM Automated call concerning an authorised transaction of over £1000 on 'my' account. I hung up after hearing one sentence.

Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. 3/5/23 This phone number is highly risky. A man with a heavy accent who is barely audible through a crackling line purports to call 'about your computer'. When challenged that this is a scam - the caller became agitated and talked over me. I put the phone down. He called back and started shouting that I had nor right to call it a scam. I told him to get off the line or I would call the police. He said he didn't care about the police. I put the phone down. This Is a SCAM. A very distressing experience.

Message on my answerphone to say a money transfer had been made from my card (did not say which) in excess of £1000 which was unusual. Same message, and same voice, as made to my phone from 01491576783 yesterday so looks like a scam gang doing the rounds. Watch out.

Call from 02034589975 the call is originating in an Indian call centre and the caller asks for name, DOB and address before telling me they've located my Vodafone account (which doesn't exist and my details were entirely fictional). The call is a scam designed to illicit bank details for a new phone contract. I would urge everyone to block this number and not give them any info at all.
