I rejected first time round but they called again and I accepted a call just for fun. As expected, they're calling about their "promotion". I said "no thanks" and hanged up. Flagged number as spam on my phone.

SCAM - The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! This was a computer generated call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll be called back later by a con-artist. They may also be quick to say they are not selling, simply enquiring, surveying, etc. THESE CALLS ARE SCAMS & HARASSING. If ever in doubt tell them to write to you, but DON'T give your address, if genuine they should know it, or just hang up!

Called today 03.05.23 around 13:20 stating they were from EE, however got my name wrong. Hung up the call, reported to TPS

SCAM Fake threatening call from "HMRC" claiming I had some penalty to pay or legal action would be taken against me.

Fraud. Got a call I didn't answer. They left a voice mail it wasn't a person it sounded like a generic message. It said there was something wrong with my financial account and then said I'll be arrested ( they spelt out the word arrested) I have 2 phones the one they rang is the one I use for fam/ friends it's not the one attached to any of my bank account/ online shopping. There is absolutely no reason any business should have that number.

Robin called. Sounded foreign. Said he was calling from the call blocking and scam department. When I asked what company he was calling from he said "the national call blocking company limited" i said there was no such thing. Curious how this was 24 hours after "microsoft" called me and I told them I didn't believe them..... Told him the only legit call blocking was The Telephone Preference Service, and he hung up.

Called saying that there were payments going out of a visa account, stating odd figures and required interaction from me to stop payments. I hung up.

*SCAM* Amazon Prime Renewal! (Spoofed number - Probably someones home number!) Obviously A SCAM - I don't have 'Amazon Prime' account. Recorded message/menu, that sounds totally REAL!! NB: WHY would a GLOBAL company be calling me from same Area Code!? Probably to panic people into giving out personal details (ie Bank info)!!! Best Advise: NEVER answer call from an UNEXPECTED number you DONT KNOW, let answer phone take it. Saves you a lot of hassle!

SCAM Pretended to be from BT Open Reach and told me my ROUTER was not connecting to the network properly. I told the Indian woman that no it won't be as its a Virgin Media Router connected to the independent Virgin Media Network! and it is working great! then I hung up.

A male caller with a very strong Asian calling about home appliance insurance renewal. When questioned as to which appliances he was talking about, he mentioned appliances I do not have on Insurance cover.

Pretending to be ISP using VOIP to spoof a local number on caller ID, saying my router is bad and wanting me to hand over access to my PC (LOL). Played along to waste his time. When I eventually asked him what the scam he was running was, what his endgame was, maybe to get me to install malware or give remote access to my machine he said "ahh, sir, you know what this is, well done! Called by this number giving the usual "your debit card has been debited by £900" routine-definitely a scam.

This number called me this morning saying my amazon prime was automatically being renewed at £69.99 so I can enjoy. All automated message you can't say anything. I've rung Amazon and told them so now they are aware.

SCAM posed as my daughter on WhatsApp and asked me to pay a bill. Very plausible but bank fraud team picked up on it thankfully

Fraud SPAM SCAM Telemarketing Unsolicited call from Housing Disrepair Team Ltd. Searched Google and found they are being looked into by the FCA as they are unlicensed and are trying to sell services or products with out being registered. Said they were contacting me about a problem I had with my house - suggesting it was rented / local authority. It's not so I said they had the wrong number and they hung up. I was texted out of the blue with this message: "Hi mum, I'm texting you from a friend's phone because mine got broken. Their phone is running out of battery. text/call me on my new number +447359548195". I believe it's a scam as no one I knew messaged me this.
