They knew my name and said they'd been authorised by the government to handle a legal case against FX Trading. I knew it was a fraudulent phonecall when they wanted ID and statements from me. My phone picked up that they were calling from Rome but the man clearly said he was working for the UK government. Very dodgy!

Called said they were from Curry’s calling about a contract. Probably a scammer as I don’t have any with curry’s. Blocked. Inidian lady asking in broken English. Scammer.

I was contacted from this number at 16:30 on 10.06.2022. It was a man of Asian origin judging by the accent (Pakistani, Indian, Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi) and said quote: “Hello, is this ***** *****? The person said they where from 118 live directory, he asked for the business owner which I am not so I said no I’m afraid he won’t be in untill friday at that point he hung up. I did 14713 and called back to get an automated American voice saying it was utility direct. Scam.

Phone number - UK landline - 01174526780 called my unregistered landline. On picking up the call, there was NO RESPONSE from the caller - be it from a BOT or Person who initiated the call. - I then returned the call with my number with-held and a BOT replied "This number is not in service" !! . A voice said he was James from Relief Energy who said; "I've been trying to call you for a few days now, actually." Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. Sounded sort of robotic, I suspect it was a recording. Unsettling and therefore I marked it as "Dangerous".SCAM

SCAM - purporting to be from HMRC advising legal action to be taken for non-payment of tax.

Fraud - asking for bank details. Called to say there has been a transaction on debit account and need my details to either reject or accept.

Continuously keeps trying to contact me. Starts an automated voice, explaining something to do with an emergency alert not being set up on my phone. Probably a scam, definitely block and ignore.

I answered the phone, silence, then a recorded message said they were RMG and they could not connect me to one of their advisers at the moment, If I wish to call them back then they would connect me to an adviser. Obviously a "sales call" trying to get me to part with my money. Conclusion: Illegal activity.

SCAM: Phone rang and then caller, a computer, hung up when I didn't speak! Suspected computer call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and will usually be logged or routed through to a sales person. You'll be called back later by some sales dude. They're usually trying to flog or get you to sign up for house insulation or some scam survey based on a government scheme. They're usually quick to say they're not selling, simply enquiring; surveying; etc.
