Answered this one by mistake..Apparently "ee" have selected me for a new handset. One of only 500 - yeah right. Unsolicited call, not welcomed and I changed my mobile contract only a month ago..so definitely a load of hogwash.

This call is the result of completing a survey, usually on social media, about the eligibility of a new boiler grant. If you aren't eligible for the grant then this company is contacting you regarding buying a new boiler. I had a couple of missed calls and then received a text explaining all of the above and giving me the option to cease any further contact.

I was called by this number this morning. They told me they were calling regarding my licence from MICROSOFT being lapsed. They told me they would be able to renew my licence and could show me how to remove hackers from my laptop. I allowed these people access to my laptop thinking I was removing the hackers and viruses from the laptop. They gained access to my files and I have had money removed from my bank account (now closed).

Asked if I have loft insulation and if it is more than 3 years old it will not comply with updated regulations after the Grenfell tower fire. Not sure if this is legit - he wanted to book a half hour survey of my loft. Declined saying that I would check out the government initiatives for myself as this was an unsolicited call.
