First received a text while driving saying ‘Can I call you later?’ 50 mins later a phone call came. I didn’t pick up. Instead I then texted back: ‘Sorry don’t recognise yr number. Who is it?’ No further response to date. No idea if genuine new contact or an attempt at some scam
Answered the phone and nobody was on the other end then just hung up, have since blocked.
Suspected scam. Automated message claiming to be from HMRC.
Caller hung up as soon as I answered, which in itself is fine, but I received three local calls over 5 days that did the same and it feels strange.

Call center Asked for my wife by name, renewal due on TV care package I challenged, said it was a scam because my wife left all TV to me and we have never had cover. I asked for proof and was assured they had proof, when I said my wife had died years ago they could not progress their payment request, as any debt had ceased.
