Called me but when I answered immediately had an answering machine that said a letter for me had been returned to them so they would be taking legal action, like an answering machine would go into that much depth. Then I waited for the message to repeat to hear who it claimed to be and instead it hung up. Clearly a scam.

This UK mobile number called my mobile and it was an automated voice saying it was about my "Visa OR Mastercard" (which one?) and that £600 had been spent on it 15 minutes ago. Press 1 to stop the payment. I did not press anything and hung up.

This number called me this morning 10.02 am. Automated voice said something about my Amazon prime account. As I don’t even have an Amazon account I believe this is a scam and have blocked the number.
Scam. Claimed to be from SKY. English not their first language. Tone was polite then turned quite aggressive when I said I don’t even have sky (I do just testing them!) said they must help me with my technical issues. Called Sky myself they confirmed no such calls are being made by them. It’s A SCAM!

NB: WHY would a GLOBAL company be calling me from same Area Code!? Probably to panic people into giving out personal details (ie Bank info)!!! Had a few missed calls off this number over a few days, then one morning at 5am, my phone woke me up by calling this number by itself on speaker. My phone is fingerprint/pin locked, and my applock app registered two failed attempts to access my phone's settings. Everyone in the house was asleep and I've yet to find an explanation. Phone completely scanned for malware and came up clean. Very perturbing.

This is a cold calling number being rerouted from India. They claim to offer a brand new mobile phone contract to iPhone users for £35/month, and they asked me how long I had my iPhone for (I don't have one). So I asked them where they got my number from. They claim to have my number on a database because I am a loyal customer. I asked them a loyal customer of what? My mobile service provider, they replied. Who is my mobile service provider, I asked. At which point they hung up. Block this number.

Threatening phone call re a “non existent” outstanding balance on a television contract. After hanging up on them they immediately rang me back with a very aggressive attitude. Refused to accept that I don’t have such a thing and they responded by saying they would be withdrawing £400 from my credit card. I have alerted my credit card company that this has happened and hopefully it goes no further.
