Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

I think this might actually be a valid Co-op number. I say that because: 1. I tried to make some credit-card payments while abroad, but they were declined. 2. This number called my mother to check the payments. 3. When my mother confirmed with them that the payment attempts were valid, my card started working again! But I cannot 100% confirm. My mother actually received three calls over the weekend. Sadly this number is not shown on the Co-op website. So it's difficult to verify.
