The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

recorded message saying my card had been used today for suspicious payments of £300 and £1350 today. Then asked me to press 1to cancel payments and a couple of other options. I terminated the call. Obviously a fraud/scam as no indication of which card was involved.
SCAM this number is sending out texts that are a potential scam - just received a message purporting to be from one of my sons. On checking with this website I find this number is in Manchester Uk, as was the number they asked me to WhatsApp. My son, on the other hand is nowhere even close to the Uk.

Someone somewhere was or is being scammed by some fake investment groups and it is sad, this experience is harder than many people think. SCAM Said they are a credit agent trying to recover an outstanding student loan. Told her I never had a student loan as I didn’t go to university, I went straight into full time employment when I left school. She then got aggressive demanding I pay now or else.
