Had a call from this number trying to get me to claim compensation from an accident I had 2 and a half years ago!
TAX. Call from HMRC claiming there is a pending tax rebate and to visit gov-rebate....website.
operator made numerous attempts in getting me to confirm my details. I asked where they received my details from, he told that I would be told at the end of the call, I pushed back and refused to continue until they explained where my details came from. They hung up on me. Outcome: Blocked the number

SCAM / SPAM usual thing. strong south Asian accented guy called 'paul' told me he was from EDF and clarified that they are my current supplier. then said due to covid they couldn't said engineers out to read meters. 1) I send readings in online. 2) every meter I have seen in the last 25 years is outside. covid becomes irrelevant in this case 3)I have never given reading over the phone. hang up
Called about a road traffic accident which I allegedly had. Must have missed that. Telemarketer as far as I can tell.
