Another of the nuisance calls from criminals trying to gain access to my computer. Though the man started by saying he was from B.T. he ended up saying he was desperate for ?200.00. I was called by 0345 606 2172 claiming to be the fraud department of my bank advising me of an attempted transaction. They asked me about pending transactions on my accounts and also about an alleged setup of a direct debit (from the savings account) and a payment to Mercedes for over £800. I said not valid and I became suspicious, They then asked me for my long card number which I refused to provide. I was trying to reboot my laptop and they rang off. Bank advises fraud and to block number.
