Rang me asking my name and address and refused to give it and they did not identify who they were. When pressed told me I owed money to HMRC and would I make a payment? Politely too them I would contact HMRC and if I owed them any money would pay them directly. Thought this was a scam!!!!

Number pretends to be HMRC calling about tax fraud registered against my name. Automated call, threatens you with imminent arrest if you hang up or don't press 1. Once you press one, a very deep Asian sounding accent answers and asks you for your details. Which they should have since they claim to have opened a case against you. They said that I was basically being overcharged by my current suppliers and asked me for my bill to obtain the supply number.
