If you are using a console channel driver instead of a real phone you can use the dial, answer, and hang up commands to simulate the actions of a standard telephone.'

Lots of office noise but then nothing. I left a terse assessment of their character on their line and put the phone down

Keep ringing, not known by me, hence don t answer
Foreign sounding gentleman telling me he was from Microsoft. He went on to explain that "my PC had been attacked by hackers" and that he could help me. When questioned further about this he would not provide any information and sounded Indian. when I told him he had rang an X directory number and where had he got the number from, he hung up. Obviously a scam trying to illicit financial details from unsuspecting people. SCUM!
