I don t answer unknown numbers so ignored this one as usual, and when no voicemail was left I called it back from a landline. An automated message picked up: "You have been called by Media Match. The call was not important but we will try again later." I blocked it immediately.
SCAM claiming HMRC
Indian accent caller.claiming to be an insurance department to renew insurance on my washing machine and fridge. Both of which are 10-20 years old.
I have had several calls now, and when I answer, nobody s there to speak to me. I already checked here and got their details, so I visited their website, and they seem legit. They called again tonight (again, nobody on the other end), so I called them and told them to stop. The operator said she could only deal with the person whose details they had, so I had to confirm my identity.
