Usually uses the main identity of Marlon on Gumtree, but sometimes uses his alleged daughters details: Zara Hussain. They then provide pictures of items for sale in a response to your ads, eventuay agree a price, provide fake identity details and asks for a deposit and the items will be posted by them. Phoned today at12.15 pm. Fairly gruff voice. Purportedly from BT. Asked me to confirm that I had been in touch with BT this morning. As I had, I said yes. There was some hesitation and a lot of background noise. I asked what he wanted. He asked if contact was by phone or mail (I think). I replied that the contact was on the internet and he abruptly ended the call.
THIS IS NOT BT, CALLED ME AND SAID THEY WERE FROM BT AND WERE REVERSING THEIR PRICE RISE AND WOULD SPEED UP MY BROADBAND SERVICE. ALARM BELLS WERE RINGING IN MY HEAD, HE DID NOT ASK FOR MY BANK DETAILS BUT DID ANSWER MY DATE OF BIRTH QUESTION. HE SAID HE WOULD EMAIL ME WITH MY NEW UPGRADED DEAL. RANG BT STRAIGHT AFTER AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A SCAM!!! ONLY DETAILS I GAVE THE YOUNG BRITISH CALLER WAS MY DATE OF BIRTH :(
