Fraud - machine voice saying there has been criminal investigation for tax evasion. clearly a fraudster car does not mention even the institution they are calling from - if you stay on the line will probably ask for your credit card details to pay the "tax"

Both my husband and my mobile went off within minutes of each other. We are on EE at the moment. His first call said he d stolen the man s WIFI password. Then he got a voicemail saying he d been texting this man s girlfriend. He is recovering from a brain tumour surgery, so was getting quite confused and distressed by the call. Suspect it's Cognism or similar checking they have the correct mobile numbers for contacts they're selling. Ask for you by first name, then when you say it's you, they say a random surname and then claim they must have a wrong number.
