Try’s to tell you there’s a CCJ against you for unpaid fees to an advertising company (community council advertising working in connection with National crime prevention) recons bailiffs will be attending at 9am. An Indian sounding man said he was from one of the newest UK 'Habits companies' and wanted to ask me about my habits. Told him I knew he was a scammer and he hung up before I could finish my sentence! SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. I rang British Gas using the genuine number from their website - they confirmed that no-one's called me today.
Other similar sites reflect that this is a scammer - between 2 other sites I looked at, calls started from this number about 4 or so hours ago and the number has been searched almost 1,000 times!
This is a scam. Told I owed money ($4000) form a credit card I had from 2010 to 2016. Would not give me proof of the debt. I never had a credit card during that time period. Said they are going to try to take $8400 from my bank account by serving papers to the county clerk that is in my county. I spoke to a couple of attorneys which said it sounds like a scam.
