TAXES / HMRC States that an arrest warrant has been issued in your name due to avoidance of taxes etc.. I believe this to be a scam call, which I am totally sick to the back teeth of. Number has been blocked on several occasions but somehow manages to get back through.

Man called "Max" with Indian accent saying he was from "Windows Technical Department". Asked for the computer owner so I asked him whose name he had and he gave the name of someone who lived previously at my address 15 years ago, so they are using very old data bases.

Why bother asking why I need the settlement quote when you clearly ignore it. I'm not selling my car nor am I buying a new one.

Totally insidious. Persuaded my father to download files that gave them remote access then got him to access his online bank account as "Microsoft" had accidently paid him 4000 GBP. Bullied him into trying to "pay it back" and eventually insisting he go to the Post Office to pay them back. After 2 hours Dad was utterly distressed and put the phone down. We had to cancel all his debit and credit cards, run a 4 hour PC clean up and called in the police.
