Two calls from this number with a recorded voice message claiming £700 has been drawn on our account to Amazon and further £2000 cash transfer, then a couple of number options to press to speak to someone. Needless to say, I hung up. Yet another time-wasting and potentially dangerous scam.

SCAM I got an automated female voice stating it was bank security. £300 was to pay Amazon and £1100 was by bank transfer. I got the exact same phonecall yesterday from another number. I was to press 1 to speak to someone if I hadn't made these transactions. I have been told by my bank that if anything like this was to happen the bank would notify me with the bank's name and a the name of whoever I was talking to as soon as I answered the phone. They would never phone with an automated message.

A young man, purporting to be from a home insulation firm, said he was calling those in my postcode area to discuss insulation. When I demanded that he tell me the post code he politely rang off. Very dodgy, in my view

I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. Text job scam on Whatsapp. I never applied for such a thing. There was an “intern” copy pasting the job requirements. The job itself seemed too good to be true. I looked up the actual company said number was impersonating on Linkdin and the roles offered were for experienced workers (not trainees like the scammers said) and had roles for very specific areas of the uk. The scammer couldn't elaborate on where this “job” is based but it could miraculously work from home. They had very bad English grammar.
