Automated call from internet provider advising they were cutting me off for illegal acivities!
Purported to be from Sky tech department. They said that my computer whilst internet browsing had been subjected to monitoring by outside agencies. When I asked for her name so I could verify she was from Sky she terminated the call.

Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.

I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.

He was momentarily interested in sending it to my laptop until I told him it was a work issued laptop. Someone from this number called my sister at approx 13.05 today. My sister is undergoing extensive jaw rebuilding procedures after having mouth cancer and cannot speak properly. Machine called, purporting to be my bank and telling me about two recent transactions in my bank. I was offered to press 2 to speak to an advisor, which I did and a woman answered (Asian accent) " 'allo, 'allo" then "can I help you authorise you bank account?". I declined. My bank knows nothing of this. So - this number is obviously using technology to try and get access to people's bank accounts.
