One of those recorded calls that pretends they can t hear you at first and then clicks on with a recording once you ve said hello a couple of times. Said her name was Julie Smith and she was calling from Sigma Advisers, but you could tell it was a robot. Didn t even try to make it sound human. So annoyed as I m expecting an important call so had to answer weird numbers!

Called me claiming to be from Sky, informing me that malicious individuals are trying to hack my router. I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. I gave them an earful about preying on vulnerable people, but it will have had zero effect; I just hope I cost them more money in call charges than they were expecting.
