SCAM: the caller claimed to be calling from Currys UK, offering a deal in an iPhone 14. The caller wanted my full details - obvious SCAM.

Claiming to be from National Insurance and asking me to press 1 to speak to an investigator before action is taken against my national insurance number. They claimed some fraudulent activity on the North Wales border. I didn’t press 1 and ended the call as I’m sure that’s a scam.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Received a call from this number, answered and received an automated message saying my Amazon account had 2 large orders using my card and they didn’t think it was me. It said press 1 for yes it was me and 2 for it wasn’t. I hung up an obvious scam call as how can they know who in the household picks up the call as there might be 5 of us with cards and Amazon accounts!
