TAXES / HMRC
was called, supposedly, from HMRC and that I am about being accused for tax fraud and to press 1 to talk to an agent, otherwise I'd be arrested. Upon pressing 1 it directed me to a call centre where the accent of the recorded voice switched from British to American. Hung up right away
Seems to be a scammer.
phone call in an american accent saying my credit card has a debit of £650 transaction to a named gentleman. press 1 if it was you, 2 if you want to speak to our fraud departmen...
