Two strange calls today. One from number 0001647057597 One from number 05845 897724 Both calls claimed that my internet / broadband provider had been trying to contact me: Press 1…..etc I live in a rural location, with a local provider. Numbers now on block list.

Fraud
SCAM This number called me saying they were Sky Broadband and said that other people were trying to hack into my broadband. To stop this they needed details of all the devices I had currently connected to my broadband. At this point I ended the call and phoned Sky for myself. They told me that nobody had phoned me from Sky, there were no problems with my broadband and that the company who called me were trying to get details of my devices so they could hack them for bank details etc.

I have a unregistered pay as you go sim in my phone and i had a missed call from this number. Clearly using an auto dialler and trying their luck.

called and said router was having problems and would offer £200 as compensation. then when did the bank transfer they made a 'mistake' and transferred £2,000. as a gesture of goodwill they would only ask for £700 back. this was transferred by Moneygram (I know - caught my partner when unwell and not thinking straight). also took over my laptop and remotely accessed who knows what. SCAM. Talktalk will never call you. don't tell the scammers anything. Police and Talktalk aware.

I picked up the phone and it was just a guy telling me he was going to bring me a present back as though he had pocket dialled. I would have thought nothing of it but it s not the first time. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8432632xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
