Automated message saying £79.99 will come out of my bank account shortly for amazon prime ( which ive never used) & if i want to prevent this i need to press "1" on my phone so i hung up & pressed 1471 to get the number.

missed a call from them despite phone not ringing called back to a robot voice asking for personal information in order to not be called again smells like a phishing scam

Called my mobile (which is registered with telephone preference) and asked who and how I was before saying she was from Red Star. I asked who Red Star were and she hung up.

These people repeatedly call phishing for information stating that they are calling about a car accident. Maybe some poor souls they call talk about an accident they may/ may not have had and pass on personal details. It appears to be a scam and the only way to avoid them calling is to block their number. They called my number >10 times over past 6 months and have never taken it off their system. FYI I was never in a car accident.

If you've used a market comparison website for health insurance these people will ring you many times. They are helpful but very persistent.
