Scam call about appliance insurance renewal when infact I don't have such insurance. Female caller identified herself as Sam and spoke clear English. I let her waffle on to waste her time and she gave me a number to call back on 01273 101448. When I eventually asked why I was being contacted when I don't have such insurance to renew she ended the call abruptly.

Keep calling to speak to my husband, firstly about his pension and then about payment protection insurance. Told them not to call but they keep ringing. Foreign sounding callers and lots of background noise.

These guys call saying they are from EE and offering special deals. Then they asked for my personal information. When I questioned why they needed my data they stated that the number they called on (which appeared on my handset) if listed on the EE website under the security section. I hung up and checked. SCAM This number called my 86 year old mother today, getting her so traumatised she was shouting & crying which is when I took the phone. The person was insisting Mum has a 3 year fridge/freezer insurance, that she pays yearly & needs to pay final year. My mum doesn’t own a fridge/freezer. In the end I told her to put it in writing & send to me. I’ve got to check mum’ bank in case they’ve ever taken money. There will be legal proceedings.
