Call from a welsh lady claiming I had been referred , despite not knowing my name and giving a former address. I heard a very short ring on my phone and found a missed call, called the number back to only hear a recording; later found a premium rate charge on my bill. It s a SCAM

Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.
