SCAM Indian call centre called claiming to be BT and said that my WiFi was being used illegally by other people without my knowledge. They even sent me texts and emails on legitimate BT numbers and email addresses. This is a very clever scam, do not fall for their scam, BT will never ask for access to your PC to 'prevent access to the WiFi' or for any other reason. Caller from EE sales. I ordered a SIM card yesterday and he was following up if I needed anything else. Tried to push me to get an Apple Watch as he knew I was using an iPhone XS Max which I stated yesterday. Asked my full name, dob, and address.
I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. Called me a few minutes ago today to offer me a deal regarding my debt management plan.
