Automated call claiming to be from HMRC due to fraud on 'my account' with the threat of immediately being arrested if I didn't continue with the automated call - hung up as I find this highly unlikely.

I believe this is the Barclaycard fraud department. Or it better be.

Been called a couple of times from this number claiming I have money owed to me from a third party in my last crash. There was no third party involved, only myself, yet they keep on ringing and telling me this (presumably they want my bank details). When I explain that they are totally in the wrong and there is no money owed to me they have become VERY RUDE. (Telling me to drop my attitude love ) Asked them to delete my number and they keep calling. Would really love to find out that this scam has been sh

I answered once, sad computer scam wanting all your computer details, told them I had no computer, they rang off immediately!!! There was a gap of a few months and then my call minder registers they call, regularly, sometimes three times a day. I now screen calls with call minder but it is maddening to have to clear the call minder daily as they are not the only Company who harass in this way. Would be great if this kind of thing could be stopped for good.

This number is from Orpington but when I tried to return the call I received an error message cannot be connected

Silent call, then an automated voice saying "goodbye". Conclusion? A computerised auto-dialler is being used. I thought they were now illegal?

Indian sounding person said his name was John called claiming to be from BT and that our internet connection could be accessed and our personal information could be compromised. he asked me to go on to my computer and he will guide me through what to do. Then i Put the phone down.
