Call from Cyber Crime Security Unit stating that I will be disconnected. Connection has been "compromised".
Fraud - called, I answered, no-one there said anything, they immediately ended the call.
My parents, both in their 80 s, have been receiving calls from this number. Often early in the morning and in close succession, there is silence, giggling, but no communication - very disconcerting for them. Since neither of them are in great physical form, it is extremely worrying that these nuisance calls are causing them great discomfort. What can be done about it?
If they ring, put the phone down. Do not give them your bank account number. They are a waste management company, but they are very bad. They will make your life a misery. Rip off!

Really nasty, threatening scam from this number. The message said HMRC had a tax fraud case listed against my name and I should press 1 to connect to the HMRC investigating officer to discuss the case. It then went on to say that if I didn't I would be arrested for tax fraud - I knew it was not true but some people could be really scared and stressed by this horrible scam.
Person calling, telling me he Calls from Microsoft, and that there is a problem With my computer.
Said it was Amazon prime and our annual renewal was due. Press 1 to speak to an agent. Our prime expires Feb 2022. I put the phone down. This is a scam.

Scouse lad calling from a motor accident claim company, asking if I d been in an accident recently. Told them I hadn t (I d had a minor bump a few months back but no injuries to either party, but I m not telling them that). Surprisingly the advisor actually offered to take my number off their database (whether they will or not is another matter).
Calling company very pushy wanting to know my bank details, which I did not give them. Not sure what they were trying to sell.

SCAM Bogus call purporting to be on behalf of my business bank. Started asking questions they should have already had answers to if they were legitimate. Curtailed call (had to speak over woman who was forceful). Called bank and this was not one of their authorised market researchers.
Information Call from HMRC telling me that I will face legal action and to call another number immediately. Checked with HMRC and they said that they wouldn’t leave a recorded message, text message or email regarding this.
