Automated female voice thanked me for ordering from Amazon, advised that £399 had been deducted from my credit card and my iPhone 7 .... at which point I hung up.

Think it s a new number/variant of the UK Tax scam.

Addressed me by my first name and asking me how I thought the financial markets were doing! Very bizarre, hung up on them.

Accepted the call but didn t say anything, the automated system waits for the word "Hello" before reeling off their rubbish to you. The call stayed silent before cutting itself off. Added this number, along with a few others, to my SPAM entry in my address book.

Just taken a call from a girl to my company saying she was from the energy care centre offering me £2000 towards new doors and windows. I clearly answered with my company name and she ignored this and carried on - so I had some fun with her saying I didn t have any doors or windows - she then said - do I have a brain and put the phone down.
