They call twice a day, but when I pick up the phone it goes to dialling tone. I am really getting annoyed!

My parents, both in their 80 s, have been receiving calls from this number. Often early in the morning and in close succession, there is silence, giggling, but no communication - very disconcerting for them. Since neither of them are in great physical form, it is extremely worrying that these nuisance calls are causing them great discomfort. What can be done about it?

This number has called me several times in the last few days, no messages left for the missed calls and no one speaks when I do pick it up. One to be blocked!

PRANKDIAL.COM. It is not from an app, but a website. Hence why it is always the same number. It is someone you know who is putting your number in and they can hear your conversation with the machine!!! I had this done to me this morning. Look under comments from Anonymous...RESEARCH AND BLOCK THE NUMBER!!!

Funeral plan selling. They have been calling continuously, even 5 times a day. I immediately put it on the blacklist. But they trying to call again.

Recorded message supposedly from Amazon saying that I had bought an iPhone 11 for over £1,000 (who would pay that for an iPhone11??)

Automated call claiming I had opted in, offering to write off up to 70% of my debt. Press 5 to speak to advisor. Hung up when I asked for their website details. Think call originated in UK, bloke had a Welsh accent. Scumbag.

These calls have gone silent now but I know it is a Telemarketer on behalf of CR Smith. Lost track of the number of times I have told them all our windows/doors are done and I don t want a conservatory as we have an extension.Also told them they should not be calling as registered with TPS but makes no difference.

Tried to get me to admit my name and wanted to help with my computer that had been "sending signals" of errors. I asked how they could know that as I have no computer. ( A lie but then they lied) He hung up. Don t be fooled just hang up the phone!
