Claimed to be from bank

Fraud Claimed to be virgin media, yet had another number (0035) calling exact same claim same voice has given 2 different names, indian/pakistani accent

other claiming to be from amazon.

Scam call - voice message said it was a call from my bank security department but didn't say what bank it was.

Calling regards to tax refund from HMRC also asking about claiming tax back from PIP benefit. Didnt answer, i called back, they already knew my name. Dodgy people.

This was an automated call advising I had suspected fraud on my accounts. Gave 2 transactions and was asked to press 1 to accept 2 to decline. I put the phone down and called the bank. It wasn’t them! Please just put the phone down on this number and don’t press any buttons

They then say I've got to go on website I signed up for I repeat myself again and say I've not signed up for anything they then start getting abusive calling me stupid thick white bitch. Indian call centre person (could hear others in the background trying to scam others), claiming to be from the Utilities Department. Told him I knew he was a scammer as there is no such thing as the Utilities Department. He hung up and I blocked the number. They also use 0161 669 0643 and 0640. Seems they have purchased quite a few numbers to scam people.

On answering, I got a recorded message saying it was something to do with bank security, followed by a message that was intended to frighten. I hung up, and have blocked the number. Others receiving calls like this might be taken in. What can be done to stop them?
