called but rang for 2 sec. Didn't answer. Scam?

I moved houses not a long time ago and the above meenymberhas been trying to contact me a few times a day for the past two weeks. I answered the first phone call and it was about insurance I didn t need. When they called me agAin, I blocked the number. I have just checked my list of blocked numbers and they called me 14 times within a weeek. Complete waste of time

Recruitment company.. not malicious just uninvited.

Called me at work did not answer, tried calling back was on hold for over 10 minutes. No voicemail left more than likely cold call.

Phoned twice today, when answered no one spoke.

Called number as thought it might be important, recorded message says nobody available to pick up call but holding me with music! They do not identify themselves which alerts my suspicions. Almost immediately I am called back and male caller asks for James, I am female. They are calling about the vehicle collision "James" was involved in. So you be the judge. This was their second call. I had put their number in my phone to be blocked but they appear to have gotten around this block and the generic blocking of withheld numbers. I will send written complaint to the Bradford address as well as complaining to other regulators.

Second call saying internet line has been compromised.

Hard sell tactics. Avoid them if you can t stand up to them or you will be pushed in to buying and finance deals to pay for it.

Just posted the comment above and would like to add that I have reported this matter to the Police and BT and want to urge people not to fall victim to this. The Police have investigated it and have said it is a scam. - Be warned.
