Just rings up several times in the day, hangs up after a few rings and before answerphone comes in to take the call. Have blocked three different numbers who ever they are. have shortened rings for answerphone to come in early

SCAM This number called me pretending to be from O2 they claim to offer 20% discount and then send you a text with a code which they use to get into your account and buy stuff on your o2 account. Avoid.

Indian call centre person (could hear others in the background trying to scam others), claiming to be from the Utilities Department. Told him I knew he was a scammer as there is no such thing as the Utilities Department. He hung up and I blocked the number. They also use 0161 669 0643 and 0640. Seems they have purchased quite a few numbers to scam people.

UPDATE FROM CHEAP WEB DESIGN: Unfortunately we continue to be hounded by scammers which is resulting in thousands of people calling us back to see why they were called (we're only a team of 8 so have had to disable our phones and put a pre-recorded message). I have a car for sale and someone called me saying he would be interested in the car, after I said it was no longer for sale, he started threatening me to pay him 100 pounds for the gas and the trouble. I want to clarify that I had just given him the 5 minute postcode and he should have come to see the car in about 5 hours when I was free.

This was an automated call advising I had suspected fraud on my accounts. Gave 2 transactions and was asked to press 1 to accept 2 to decline. I put the phone down and called the bank. It wasn’t them! Please just put the phone down on this number and don’t press any buttons

The caller rang of as soon as I answered. Therefore I suspect some Sort of sales rubbish or scammer. They will not get a chance to mess me about again as I am blocking the number. I hate this method of trying to sell things to the general public. Most of my peer group no longer answer their land line or their mobile if the number is not in their phones contact list.

Caller apparently calling from Currys selling very cheap mobile phones. They hung up when I pointed out they had called a work phone, so probably a scam.
