Gave name as John Abrahams from BT who said my broadband connection was being compromised and I needed to log on to find out who the hackers were. I asked for their number to call back and they gave me this one. When I called it was answered with 'Hello, this is BT' Call originally came from 02089030400 which didn't pick up when I called.

Unanswered call, left message claiming to be from HMRC; threating action over mystery tax debt. Message tells me to call this number, to make immediate payment, to avoid further action.
This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with BT tarifs, Go Mobile, O2 and new mobile plans - general call centre working for telco operators.
Many calls over the past year absolutely discussing behaviour from a so called solicitors this is a definite scam and they need repoting to the fraud squad

Introduced himself as John Shepherd and working for a children's charity, the name of which I did not catch. He checked with me that he had run the right number by checking my company name. Spoke really slowly so I new this was going to be a long call probably looking for money so said I was busy (which I was). Have seen him reported as a scammer on other number check sites.

This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Similar number is used by the Bauer Media company.
