The man with a distinctly foreign accent said that he was from a Broadband provider that uses the 4G network £25 a month for 18 months. But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.

Claimed to be from BT Openreach and stating I'm not getting the internet speed I should be getting.
Presumably a cloned number Rude lady with foreign accent overriding my claim that we can't have a problem with openreach as we are with virgin fibre. Not sure what she actually wanted from us as I told her not to be so rude and she put the phone down.

SCAM This number is actually owned by a legitimate person who has nothing to do with the automated calls received, pertaining to be from Amazon. They have stolen the number and are using it to scam people for their credit card details. I believe they have now found a way to generate random numbers that will show up on your call display, yet are not from the sender.

Sure enough an Indian accented woman said "Hello how are you?" When I asked who she was, she said she was calling from she replied, Curry's PC World. SCAM - automated call saying I was under investigation by HMRC and there was a warrant for my arrest for non payment of taxes. Wanted me to press 1, which I didn't - can't be 100% sure but I expect they were after personal/bank details, in any case it's not a legitimate call.
