Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. Incredibly rude asian sounding man told me he was ringing from the citizens advice bureau about my unsecured debts. Asking for someone with a different name, informed him three times that wasn't my name but he kept talking over me. Told him I didn't have any unsecured debts he then asked me if I was dropped on my head as a child because I was a liar and obviously stupid. Absolute bunch of time wasters.

Man with a thick Indian accent rang claiming to be from BT ringing about the internet slowing down at the house. He had my name and address and postcode. When I asked what my account number was he reeled off a number (which later check was wrong). I said I’d call by back and he gave me an 0333 number saying it was BT customer service. Rubbish! Very clever scammers trying to gain access to your internet where they can steal your bank details etc

SCAM This is NOT the opticians there is a number 8 added. Its scam, they just see if you answer, then pass your number on to scammer. One hello we work with top insurance company we can see if we can get you some savings, which one did you say your with Aviva or legal and general? I was called by this number on 16/2/23 at 10.13am. The caller claimed to be from my broadband supplier and said there were problems with my broadband. I said I had no problems and didn’t understand how they could try to con people in this way. Same number called me again at 11.48am, 12.16, and 13.22. These were silent calls. Clearly I annoyed them, but I’m fed up with these calls. How do they know who my broadband provider is ?
