Just got a phone call from this number at 10:24am, 26/4/2023 stating that there has been 2 "international transactions" over £700 this morning. Don't believe it one bit considering its from an EE provided phone number. It then says to press 1 to cancel the transaction. I didn't press anything and just left it then it hung up.

I've worked in customer service multiple times, one thing I've been told which is common sense is not to spam our customers with calls, maximum I'd call is 2 times for a single customer then stop. Whoever's number this is has been calling everyday for the past few weeks which is 100% a scam. They claim to be e-on which is fake because their number isn't on e-ons website + they wouldn't be calling everyday. One thing to note is spammers can make their numbers look the same of a legitimate company number so b

Called pretending to be Carphone Warehouse to "upgrade" my phone. Could not tell me what phone I currently had, What carrier I was on. Stated they ONLY had my name and number.

Call today message in American accent saying from revenue and customs about an unpaid bill. Person who then took the call wanted my name and email address. Not given. hung up

Hi Everyone. I wasn't sure whether this message was spam or not, so I rang up Causeway Hospital switchboard and discovered that it was 100% genuine. They put me through to the Validation Team and they had all my details and these were correct. The appointment had been made 2 years ago, so that's why I wasn't sure about it (basically, due to this long covid-related delay, I'd forgotten all about seeing my GP back then and being referred on).
Rang off when I answered.When I ring back said "Number not recognised"

I received the number 01223933956 this morning. Claimed to be a Sean with a very heavy Indian sub-continent accent, from BT Outreach claiming there were problems with my internet. I engaged with him, to spin him along so he would have less time with more vulnerable people but when he realised what I was doing he became very abusive.

Just had a call from this number saying they were from National Accident Line. Definite scam. They were asking about an accident I had a few months ago and that I was due compensation. This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. This is because I am on Carers Allowance. HMRC do not have my mobile number. SCAM
