Female called because of my recent car accident/slip/trip/injury caused by someone else - I had none of these. She then asked if a friend or relative may have been involved in a car accident etc, but as soon as I said no and asked for my number to be removed , she hung up. I was called by these people and sold a policy to cover my Hotpoint appliances for 12 months. The person seamed to know about my Hotpoint purchases and gave the impression that hes was actually from Hotpoint. I took out the cover and cancelled an existing cover with Legal and General. When I wanted a repair doing and contacted Hotpoint they arranged the repair and then told me I had no cover in place and billed me.
