Just received a call from this number and hung up immediately. Looking at the comments he needs reporting to police
Called at 13:51 today by a foreign sounding male, who gave an English sounding name. Said he was calling on behalf of Marks & Spencer and stated they had been given my number by the Government. When I said I wasn t the person he was asking for (I was) he said "then why the f**k did you waste my time then you b***h" before disconnecting the call. Charming gentleman.
Caller was automated voice saying congratulations you have won either an ipad or £500 press 2 to acknowledge and we will call you back. Needless to say I did not press 2 as I am very wary of any callers who I do not know. I may have lost £500 or an ipad but I doubt it?!!!

Claims to be from HMRC. A text-to-speech program tell you, your name has been linked to fraudulent activity. If you don't press 1 on the keypad you will be fined and charged immediately. They of course don't actually know your name. When you press 1 an American accented person tells you to hold on the line, then some terrible classical music starts to play whilst you're on hold. I didn't wait very long until I hung up. I lasted 4 minutes until I decided it was possibly fraudulent itself.
