My mobile phone rang and when I looked at the screen it was flashing red and the words 'SCAM CALL' also flashing along with an exclamation mark in a circle. Needless to say that the call was not answered.

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated

Claimed to be from Virgin Media about an internet connection. Worrying signs, firstly did not have my name as a contact or any reason to indicate I have an Virgin account. Also they are using a local number, for a very small area, which to my knowledge does not have a Virgin office.

TAXES / HMRC Automated call Fraud Ai voice stated the call was from hmrc, about a supposed letter from them that was returned, that I'm now facing legal action and press 1 to continue. Hung up at this point

Automated call Called by this number saying that this is a warning that some money will be taken from my account today. I have never heard of a bank that calls a person without the person calling forst so it is obviously a scam. Not sure how they scam, but I have blocked this caller now and it will be blocked forever. Just be aware and check your passwords etc on your bank details.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. They sent me a message saying they’re from Three and I needed to fill update my billing information in order to not get ‘cancelled’, which is a bit odd since I use a Pay-as-you-go. They sent me a link to some authentic-looking website but with a suspicious URL.
