This is a renewal scam phone number. Do not call them. You haven't been billed for renewing Norton (even if you are using it, this number is not Norton). They even claim the number is "toll free" - which it isn't. Also, this is not a term we use in the UK anyway, we would say it was a freephone number. The scam usually involves you logging in to your on-line bank, then them showing you that they have overrfunded you (by blanking your screen then manipulating the contents of the page).

As the number is local to me, I took a chance and called them back, It's the Boots Opticians Appointment Booking Centre so it's quite safe. Genuine Nat west fraud I telephoned my bank to verify this and was told to ring the number back as possible fraudulent activity is noted on my account. Lucky enough the bank was on the ball and I didn’t lose anything but they had denied £100s of pounds from being used on a gambling site

I asked him to speak slowly and clearly, he repeated the garbled content and I told him I didnt understand and needed him to speak slowly. He hung up. Sounded like a typical phishing call. Sad he hung up, I like to play them along for a while just for my entertainment and waste their time.
