Automated call Recorded voice telling me I had made an international money transfer from one of my bank cards. This is the second call telling me this today, the first was from 01482354676. Exactly the same message and voice. Usual instructions to press phone buttons to approve or cancel payment etc. Number added to blocked calls list and to BT black list. These calls are dangerous.
FRAUD SCAM!! This was an automated message initially asking if I'd authorised a payment for £600 to overseas. Transferred to a human who said the payment on your visa debit card, I asked which card, she replied your visa debit. I asked again which card, was told from your bank. Which bank? The bank you authorised the payment from. I said I have several banks so which one. She replied Halifax bank, when I said I don't bank with Halifax she hung up on me. Be careful folks!

Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?
Telemarketing Said they heard I was in a car accident, I said I wasn't. They said maybe a friend or family was in a car accident. I said no. They said perhaps they had a slip or fall. I said no one I know has been in an accident. At that point, they ended the call.

Received a text on my mobile saying that my Paypal account has been blocked. There was a link to follow to unblock it. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. Check up with Paypal on another device, through normal channels. I did this on my laptop and it was not sent by them. THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT RESPOND.

Scammer - Says they are BT openreach, then proceeds to say there is a problem with the router and you need to give them details to fix it. When I said I don't have BT services, the guy said "I know, BT is the only distributer over the country!" Really? Perhaps they need to do their homework. Called asking if I had life insurance and wanted to discuss some changes to regulations. They wanted me to tell them is I had life insurance now or in the past...which I obviously didn t divulge, then hung up! The caller had a very strong eastern European accent and was very difficult to understand.

SCAM Claims to be from O2 and sends texts messages during the call requesting that you tell the caller the code that is in the message for a 40% discount. An obvious scam, reported to NCSC and O2 as it looks like they’re trying to scam users into giving O2 account passcodes which is fraud. Kept her talking long enough for her to become quite rude and call me a liar, I’m not even with O2 so not sure why they’d target me, certainly not an O2 employee anyway.

I said we regularly check our up and download speeds and as we're on Fibre to the Premises with BT our usual speed is around 400mbs. He put the phone down. I imagine he was going to ask for ££ to enhance our speed.
