Unsolicited nuisance calls from a telemarketing company called www.converso.co.uk. They handle several nuisance call clients, including Scottish Power. You cannot call back 01702308869 as it leads to an unmonitored voicemail but you can call Converso directly to get your number removed. They can be contacted on 01702 434555 or +44 (0)786 051 9728. This is really McDowall Media. They have already been in trouble with the TPS. Have had several calls from them in last week.

Company called zanussi solar cold calling me - don't know anything about them and they have been calling me somehow bypasssing BT call guardian!

Indian guy called up claiming I ve had an accident in the last 3 years, I advised the guy no I haven t had an accident, line went silent for a moment. He then asked if I can do him a favour? Which was to lend him money as he is from Pakistan and has no money, I immediately put the phone down.

I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. She looked up my details and said someone will call me tomorrow in office hours. She sounded pleasant - so - watch this space!!
