SCAM - home appliance washing machine. Young lady, sounded like a human not a recording, British accent, told me (using my name) that she was calling about teh washing machine policy registered at my address (which worryingly she also knew). This is a well known scam. I told her that she knew as well as I did that there was no such thing and suggested she get herself a proper job.

SCAM - claimed from O2 wanting to give me a 50% discount - and wanted me to read out a verification number from O2 security centre - the SMS msg with the verification number said do dot give to third parties including O2 staff - so its a scam and I am blocking

I have no idea how you made this a number from Russia, no idea what or who it is, just rings and hangs up, so blocked. DON'T EVER ring back, if they don't speak it's of no use to you, and is one of the ways to rip you off, because it registers as a live number and they docan sell your number onto other scam lists; and the number can get diverted to a premium number that will cost you serious money, search it before anything else, and report when it's bad.

Missed call cannot ring the number back which screams SCAM or high pressure sales call. I have been pestered recently by buy to rent mortgage type people although not from the area code (Torquay) and estate planning neither of which would be of any use to me. They rang to say they are reducing the cost of my homecare cover and including plumbing and electricity repairs. All I need to do is amend my Direct Debit.
