Received a text from another number calling me Mum and asking me to whatsapp this number. Dodgy.

Number 01665604816 seems to belong to a legitimate company, but the number is faked and displayed by thieves trying to access people's bank accounts with fake warnings about illegitimate payments from their account.

Automated message claiming to be from Amazon Prime about charging my renewal to a Visa credit card. Asked me to press 1 or 2 for customer services. I hung up and checked my Amazon account. My subscription doesn't expire until July and I don't have a Visa card registered with Amazon. Clearly a scam.

This number is from scammers in Birmingham wanting your bank details to repay you home appliance warranty overpayments that do not exist. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. They tell you that you have overpaid and they are from the refund department and can only pay your refund directly into your bank account DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS. Automated call claiming to be from bank security department., telling me about suspicious transactions on my card. Since no bank was identified and my name was not requested, I hung up.

Said someone won bitcoin and wanted me to jump on a computer to show me how to claim 50k US dollars was very cautious so I said can’t you send me a Bank cheque and he hang up the phone.

Well it's creepy stuff mannerism is bad and they never said why! bullying... mafia...

Owen called from 0113 823 1763 claiming to be from Nationwide Fire Safety and said we had a quote for fire extinguishers from them last year - but had a 8year+ old address and we had never spoken to them before. Scam.
